Hello, UNICEF members! We hope you guys had a relaxing fall break and are ready for this year's Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. Trick-or-Treat is a campaign run by UNICEF that helps provide immunizations, food, emergency relief, and clean water to underprivileged children.
But first, we have a FUNDRAISER today at Panda Express (the one by school) from 12-9. If you go and bring your receipt to the next meeting, you'll get ONE service hour. To participate in the fundraiser, you need to show the flyer down below

Here's how Trick-or-Treat works: Everyone will get their own Trick-or-Treat box. Over the next month, try to fill this box with $$$! You can ask your friends, family, classmates, etc. to donate a few cents. If you want, keep the box at a designated location in your house or classroom so people can easily drop loose change into it. Also, if you have younger siblings, ask them to take a box with them when they go trick-or-treating on Halloween! Our goal is $800 and if we reach this goal, we'll reward you guys with a party.
Each box turned in will get you TWO service hours. These can also be used for other clubs like NHS and Key Club.
Also, some other updates from our meeting today -- assistant officer interviews will be held this week, on Thursday, Oct. 11th. Let us know at valenciaunicef@gmail.com if you can't make it and need a different day. Lastly, we'll be volunteering at the SCV Marathon on November 4th, which we'll talk more about next meeting. You can sign up for the marathon HERE. See you guys soon!
