Meeting Recap: 11/19

Hi everyone!! Thank you so much to everyone who came to the meeting today. Here's a quick recap of what we did:

1. Trick-or-Treat boxes were collected today! Thank you so much to everyone who donated. If you weren't able to get your box in today, don't worry - just bring it in to Mr. McKee's room by Wednesday. We'll update you guys next meeting on the total amount we raised.

2. Today, we had an exciting guest speaker! One of our UNICEF members, Hassan, gave a presentation about growing up in Palestine and his culture. Hassan is an exchange student from Palestine who is currently studying at VHS. We learned so much about Palestinian food, music, dance, and more. We also learned about the suffering that the Palestinian people go through. Currently, UNICEF is working in Palestine to ensure that no child has to suffer through violence. UNICEF provides education, health care, and safe drinking water to families in Palestine. Watch this video to learn more about the experiences of Palestinian children.
