Meeting Recap! 03/04/21

UNICEF had another brief meeting together with a few more announcements! Starting the month of March, we will be focusing on our new theme:

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene!

The announcements we have covered in this meeting are:

1) Officer applications are coming out soon! It is so important that you keep up with our Remind updates! We are looking at them being due the first week of April, but please stay tuned!

2) We are looking at the plans of a benefit concert, but we are not 100% sure about this!

3) The final profit we were able to curate from the safety packages were a total of $400!!! Congratulations UNICEF members and thank you so much for supporting us on this amazing feat that we have accomplished together!

4) We also have a new challenge for you to partake in! Please participate in the pencil challenge where you solve different math equations and based on the amount you answer, you are able to donate money to children who are struggling to achieve equal educational opportunities. After we went over announcements, we got started on introducing ourselves to our new theme! We listened to Aysha's story and also found out how UNICEF helps youth like Aysha regarding water, sanitation, and hygiene through their program. Their WASH program provides technical support in about 180 health centers around the world, and they are trying to create the most significant impact in the shortest amount of time possible.

Finally, we engaged in an engaging Kahoot to test our knowledge but more importantly learn more to expand our minds about this month's theme. We thank everyone for coming to today's meeting and we will see you at our next!
