Our monthly theme for September is education. At the meeting today, we discussed how UNICEF works to ensure equal access to education for all children. We played a game of Kahoot and watched some videos about statistics relating to children's education. If you're interesting in learning more about this issue, click here.

If you're interested in being an assistant officer, fill out this application. There are four assistant officer positions available: communications assistant, fundraising assistant, assistant director of membership, and assistant director of arts. Underclassmen are encouraged to apply. Assistant officer applications are due on Friday, October 5th, and the interview schedule will be announced on Monday, October 8th, at our next meeting. Lastly, just a reminder that all VHS UNICEF members are required to complete 10 community service hours per semester. Hour sheets can be found here, and on the "resources" tab of this website. They will be due at our last meeting in December. NHS hours can be used for UNICEF hours, but you still need to get the UNICEF form signed separately. Also, we'll give you hours for attending fundraisers/UNICEF events. If you need any information about where to volunteer, ask us at valenciaunicef@gmail.com or talk to one of the officers.
